Founded in 2020 by Wesley and Sarah, West Lea Prop Hire is the result of years of expertise. With over 40 years’ experience as a prop man on films and commercials, Wesley noticed a gap in the market for authentic period dressing props and would often use items from his own personal collection to enrich the sets he was working on.
So, West Lea Prop Hire was born. We’re a small, dedicated team who are proud to supply exceptional period props to the creative industries and are ready to help you bring your period sets to life.
We have clients across a number of industries, supplying props to many recent productions, including award-winning TV series, The Crown. With specialisms in period glass and ceramics, vintage packaging and advertising, household items and paper ephemera, we offer a huge variety of stock available to hire for the film, TV, theatre, photography and events industries.
We are easy to get to, located just off the A24 near Horsham.
Meet the team
Wesley Peppiatt
Wesley has over 40 years of experience in the props industry. Starting his career at Pinewood Studios, he has worked on a multitude of major films including Munich, The Golden Compass, Quantum of Solace, Withnail and I, Spy Game, Gladiator and the Stars Wars franchise.
Sarah Galer
Sarah has always had a love of collecting period pieces. She is particularly passionate about period art glass and loves nothing more than finding dusty and dirty pieces that have been overlooked and marvel at the difference a bowl of hot soapy water makes – transforming them once again into the amazing works of art that their creators intended.
