We will promptly arrange an initial conversation to discuss what props you need, when you need them, and agree your next step of viewing our props. 2 #### View the props Where possible, we always advise our clients to visit our warehouses and inspect a prop to ensure its suitability for their desired purpose. 3 #### Payment and collection After viewing our items, let us know what props you would like to hire and for what period. Our minimum charge is £20 and minimum hire period is one week (seven days). We welcome extended hires on a sliding hire scale. Where possible a customer is always advised to visit our warehouses to inspect a prop to ensure its suitability for their desired purpose. Where this is not possible, we are happy to do this for you, however, should the prop not be suitable for your purpose, we cannot be held responsible for this, and no refunds or credits will be given. Can I extend the hire period? Our minimum charge period is for one week (7days). There is a minimum hire charge of £10.00. We welcome extended hires on a sliding hire scale. Please speak with the sales team to discuss further. What if any items get damaged or lost? The hirer (you) is responsible for the safe keeping of the props whilst in your possession. We recommend all customers take out their own insurance for the props whilst in their possession. Please note we provide you with an “RV” (risk value) for the true value of the props for you to insure them correctly. Should the props be delivered to you in a disfavoured condition it is your responsibility to notify is immediately and should you return the props to us in poor condition you, the hirer will be charged for a repair or replacement where necessary. It is also important that you recognise that we lease out props as “non practical props only”, so please be aware of your responsibilities for the safe keeping of the props on hire to you. What periods do your props cover? We’ve got a diverse collection of period props dating from the 1880s to the present day. We have a particular specialism in mid-century art and studio glass, mid-century household items and a unique collection of WW2 packaging and ephemera. That said, our classic prop hire collection is varied and always expanding – if we don’t have what you want, we will be happy to source it for you. Can I view the items? We don’t have all our items listed on our website because there are simply too many of them. We welcome all our customers to visit us to browse our props in person at our West Sussex site. Alternatively, after an initial discussion, we can send you images of the props you are interested in hiring. Can you tell me what items are relevant to what period? Of course! We are specialists in period prop curation. If you know what scene you want to create, but aren’t sure what props are suitable for the period, we can help. We enjoy curating props for specific requests. From ‘a fully stocked bathroom cupboard from 1988’ to ‘items on a kitchen dresser in 1950,’ we can find and curate exactly what you need.
